Mirror film to enhance privacy at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NFA)
Background
The National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NFA) works on a daily basis to develop knowledge and tools that improve both the physical and psychological working environment in Denmark.
As part of an upgrade to its meeting facilities, the NFA was looking for a solution that could provide discreet and professional screening on the ground floor, where many conversations and meetings take place.
The building featured large glass panels, which created an open and bright environment – but also posed a challenge in terms of privacy and confidential conversations.

The process
Optinor installed mirror film on all glass surfaces on the ground floor.
Prior to installation, all surfaces were prepared and thoroughly cleaned to ensure optimal adhesion and a uniform finish. The mirror film was applied with particular attention to precision, edge finishing and visual consistency, ensuring the solution appears elegant and integrated into the building’s architecture.
During the installation, we ensured that day-to-day operations could continue unhindered, and the work was carried out with minimal disruption to staff and researchers.
