Energinet Eltransmission A/S. Protecting critical infrastructure with Hammerglass
Background
Energinet is committed to safety, wellbeing and the responsible operation of Denmark’s critical energy infrastructure. As part of a major refurbishment project, the company wished to enhance the protection of the building’s glazed areas and thereby contribute to a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
In line with the increased focus on resilience and the protection of critical infrastructure – including through the CER Directive – a solution using Hammerglass was chosen, which combines high security, a long service life and effective protection for people and buildings.
The process
The project involved the installation of Hammerglass Isoler high-security, low-energy glazing with specially treated polycarbonate on selected glazed sections of the building.
The work was planned in close collaboration with the project’s health and safety organisation (AMO) and other parties involved to ensure that all safety procedures and health and safety requirements were complied with.
Thanks to thorough planning, coordination and an experienced installation team, the project was completed efficiently in just two working days.
