Atea: Replacement of solar film on 1,450 m² of windows

Background

Atea wanted to improve comfort and energy efficiency in its offices, an investment that required collaboration with both the building’s owner and Optinor, as the property is not owned by Atea itself. The project was made possible through a joint agreement from which all parties stood to benefit.

The process

We began by removing the old solar film during the winter months, which proved a challenge as the low temperatures can affect the work. Nevertheless, our team managed to work efficiently in changing weather conditions and finish on time, so that the installation of the new solar film could begin with the arrival of spring.

The result

A solution that benefits both people and the building: a better indoor climate, reduced heating and a more sustainable office environment. The project is an example of how good collaboration and good timing make a difference.

Window film as a sustainable solution

Sustainability is a growing priority for many businesses. Choosing solar film with heat reduction properties can reduce the need for cooling. By reducing energy consumption in this way, businesses take a step closer to becoming more sustainable.

Energy savings through heat-reducing window film

A key benefit of using solar film is the potential for energy savings. By reducing their reliance on air conditioning and other cooling systems, businesses can see a significant reduction in their energy consumption. This is not only financially beneficial, but also an excellent way to reduce the business’s carbon footprint.

The technology behind heat-rejecting solar film

Heat-rejecting solar film is manufactured using advanced technology that filters the sun’s rays. Thanks to a special coating, the film reflects the heat rays away from the building whilst allowing natural light to enter. This creates a bright and comfortable indoor environment without sacrificing daylight.
