How to measure your windows correctly
In order to provide a quote, we need approximate measurements of the glass area.
What do you need to measure?
- Width (cm) – measure from edge to edge of the glass
- Height (cm) – measure from the top to the bottom of the glass
- Number of windows with the same dimensions
👉 Millimetre precision isn’t necessary; we’ll carry out a professional measurement before installation.
👉 It is very important that you measure all the windows. Some windows may appear to have the same dimensions, but they may have slight variations, which can lead to extra installation costs due to material wastage.
Example:
- 10 windows, each measuring 120 cm x 150 cm
- 1 glass façade measuring approx. 5 m x 2.5 m
For business customers, it is also helpful to provide the following information:
- Floor (ground floor, first floor, third floor, etc.)
- Whether access is from inside, outside – or both
Pictures make all the difference
We always recommend attaching photos – both interior and exterior shots.
Why is this important?
Pictures help us to assess:
- Whether a cherry picker or scaffolding is required
- Access conditions around the building
- Whether there are bushes, trees or other obstacles
- The type and layout of the glazed sections
- Reflections and the effect of sunlight
The better the visual documentation, the more accurate and quicker your quote will be.
