Window film solution in the historic Zeppelin Hall at Islands Brygge
Background
The Zeppelin Hall at Islands Brygge is a building with a rather special history. The hall was originally built in Germany for the production of zeppelins and was later moved to Denmark, where, over the years, it has been given a new lease of life and taken on new functions. Today, the building serves as modern office accommodation for companies including Onomondo.
To improve the indoor climate and provide protection against both heat and harmful UV rays, the building’s users wanted an effective window film solution that would also respect the hall’s architectural character.
The process
Optinor installed 3M Prestige 70 Exterior solar film on more than 200 m² of windows.
The work was carried out with a focus on precision and careful handling of the building’s unique structure. Prior to installation, all glass surfaces were thoroughly cleaned and prepared, after which the solar film was applied with a high level of expertise to ensure a uniform and durable result.
The team thoroughly enjoyed the views and the atmosphere of the historic surroundings – as well as the opportunity to combine modern technology with a piece of Danish industrial history.
